Announcements:
The last date to apply for a student loan for the 2007-8 academic year is May 30, 2008. The Financial Aid Office will not accept loan requests or applications after that date. (The last date to have applied for Caltech financial assistance, i.e., submit a FAFSA and other required forms and documents, for the 2007-8 academic year was May 1, 2008.)
Please review the eligibility requirements for the new Federal Grant Programs: Academic Competitiveness Grant and National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant or National "SMART" Grant. If you are eligible for the Academic Competitiveness Grant please be sure you have completed the steps listed on the website to confirm rigorous secondary coursework. If awarded one of these grants, the amount of the grant will be coordinated with other need based Financial Aid.
Attention Graduate Students: The Financial Aid Office awards Federal and Institute student loans to eligible domestic graduate students. International graduate students who have completed their first year of study at Caltech may also be eligible to receive Institute-sponsored loans.
