STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS
Caltech currently offers four official study abroad programs: the Cambridge Scholars Program, London Scholars Program, Copenhagen Scholars Program and Edinburgh Scholars Program. Caltech students apply during their sophomore or junior year to study abroad during their junior or senior year. Further information about these programs is available on the Fellowship Advising and Study Abroad Office website.
CROSS-REGISTRATION OPPORTUNITIES
Caltech has formal agreements with two nearby institutions—Occidental College and Art Center College of Design—that allow students to take classes that Caltech doesn’t offer and receive Caltech credit. Caltech students are not required to pay tuition to these colleges to take courses there (although they must pay any special fees required).
CALTECH–UC SAN DIEGO MEDICAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The Caltech–UC San Diego Medical Scholars program is an eight-year medical school program. Each year, six newly admitted freshmen at Caltech will also be offered early admission to the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine, pending completion of their Caltech degrees as "medical scholars."
ROTC
Air Force and Army ROTC programs are available to Caltech students through an agreement with the University of Southern California. More information on these programs is available from the Dean of Students office.
