Jann is an Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Caltech. She coordinates international admissions, domestic and international travel, and serves as the liaison for STEM competitions and other special programs. She has over 35 years of experience in higher education. She taught Russian language, literature, and culture and was a faculty teaching specialist at the college level before moving to CA and joining Caltech Admissions.
The first in her family to graduate from college, Jann liked learning so much that she now has an alphabet soup of degrees in Slavic languages, literatures, and folklore. Her research specialty is children's folklore, especially nasty rhymes, jokes, kids' games, and scary stories. She is a traditional artist and can crochet just about anything—just ask.
