Why transfer to Caltech?
Upperclass students transfer to Caltech when they determine that opportunities offered here will bolster their undergraduate career goals.
What are your goals? Are you seeking a deeper dive into the STEM fields? Are there undergraduate research experiences offered here you are hard pressed to find elsewhere?
You are considered a prospective transfer applicant if you have completed your secondary education, have enrolled at a college or university other than Caltech, and have earned credit for courses. Students will not be admitted to transfer during or for their senior year of college/university. In addition, the Undergraduate Admissions Office does not handle requests for visiting or exchange students.
If you are concurrently (or dual) enrolled in a high school/secondary school and a college or university you should apply for first-year admission.
