Transfer Admissions FAQ
Beginning with fall 2024 transfer applicants, Caltech will administer its own application. Below are some commonly asked questions from transfer applicants.

If this is your first-time applying to Caltech, you must create an account to start a new application here. You will be required to include your first and last name, date of birth, and email address. Please be sure to use an email address that you regularly access.
If you already have an account, click this link and log in to your account.
After an application has been submitted and the application checklist appears on the Beaver Breakroom, scroll to the bottom of the checklist and click on the orange text "recommendations page." Then you will be prompted to take the appropriate next steps.

If you indicated in the application that you would not need a fee waiver, you were able to submit the application, but the application payment is pending. You must then log in to the Beaver Breakroom and you will be prompted to complete payment. Once that is done, you will have full access to the Beaver Breakroom.
The application deadline is February 1. Your completed transfer exams and all supporting materials are due February 15.
