Johanna was born in El Salvador, grew up in Los Angeles, CA, and lived in Las Vegas, NV for several years. She attended Pasadena City College, transferred to UCLA and earned a B.A. in American Literature and Culture. She received an M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Redlands.
Johanna was the first person in her family to graduate from high school in the U.S. and the first to attend college. In their free time, Johanna enjoys very long walks, caring for her new plant babies, and continues to dislike chocolate.
